Now classified as a sub group of Rhododendron; Azaleas can be pruned and trimmed to be used in a formal garden, as hedges or kept small for growing on a patio in pots. Trimmed in cloud form they can be used in oriental-style gardens. Excellent for mass group plantings The majority are single-flowered but some are hose-in-hose doubled, giving the appearance of one flower sitting inside another
